Garage Classical was a project developed by Yaw at the end of 2016, and premiered in 2017, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of UK Garage. The project which was the first of its kind in the world saw 20 UK Garage hits being performed by a 36 piece orchestra, featuring some of the original vocalists. Yaw formulated the concept and engaged composer and arranger Katie Chatburn to construct the orchestra, DJ Spoony to MD and host and Ray Paul of the Playmaker Group to be the production manager. The show premiered at the Liverpool International Music Festival in 2017 and aired in full on BBC Radio 1Xtra.
